Social Media Marketing for Influencer Marketing
Influencer Marketing Campaigns Earn $5.78 for Every Dollar Spent
The State of Influencer Marketing 2020 found that 66% of marketers plan to increase their influencer marketing budgets, this area of marketing is becoming the fastest-growing channel for brands, beating organic search, paid search and email marketing. In addition, businesses earn $5.78 for each dollar spent on influencers, with some seeing as much as $18. That’s a significant return on investment and you can figure out your ROI using a social media calculator. In terms of influencer channels, Instagram and Twitter are cited as the most effective platforms.
What does this mean for influencers? This is frustrating because this is a major money making venue and the influencers are being left out. They are being told to pay for platforms, apps, and other tools. Everyone is telling them WHAT to do, but no one is helping them to learn HOW to do it.
More important, influencers are one of the few ‘niche’ markets that are overlooked. Most marketing companies don’t want to help influencers become bigger because they are too busy making money negotiating contracts between current influencers and the marketing’s company’s clients.
Part of this is the influencer’s own fault. You are a Creator. You are a business person. But too many times influencers are just trying to be famous. They don’t see themselves as a singer or actor who invests in their own marketing and advertising.
If you want to be an influencer you need to do think big.
1. Have writers help you with your skits and ideas.
2. Don’t waste time marketing – have professionals market for you. It can take you several months, about 40 – 100 hours a month to create a good marketing foundation. Time you should be creating
3. Learn how to make better videos. Buy good equipment. At least, invest in lighting.
